    Note:

    Baya V3 integrates with a separate calendar server than the one used in Baya V2. This calendar server is an upgrade from the previous calendar and supports more CalDav clients. When switching to Baya V3, we recommend that the user's desktop and mobile clients be reconfigured to use the new calendar server. Since the Calendar from Baya V2 and V3 will not sync, users will have to export the calendar entries from Baya V2 and import to Baya V3.

    Note:

    As with the calendar, Baya V3 integrates a new address book server which has support for a greater number of clients. When switching to Baya V3, we recommend that the user's desktop and mobile clients be reconfigured to use the new address book server. Since the address book from Baya V2 and V3 will not be in sync, users will have to export personal address books from Baya V2 and import to Baya V3.

  • 5. How do I access help in Baya V3?
     

    If you are using Baya V3, click the Help icon to launch the Online help.

    Selecting the Web option on this page will take you to a page which has the training videos to get you started with the client.

    To configure your Mobile or Desktop clients to access the collaboration applications, the online help is the best place to start.

    Click on Mobile or Desktop and select the application. The relevant instructions along with the credentials to use for the configuration are shared on the help screens.

  • 6. How do I access the applications from mobile or desktop clients?
     

    Configure your account in your preferred desktop client or mobile device to use the collaboration applications.

    To configure your mobile or desktop clients to access the collaboration applications, the online help is the best place to start. Click on Mobile or Desktop and select the application. The relevant instructions along with the credentials to use for the configuration are shared on the help screens.

  • 7. How to migrate contacts from my Personal Address Book in Baya V2 to Baya V3?
     

    Migrate Contacts from Baya V2 to V3

    Keep your personal contacts in sync and updated in Baya V3. To merge contacts stored in the Personal Address book of Baya V2, you need to export it on your machine and import in Baya V2.

    Export from Baya V2

    1. Log in to your SyConnect account using Baya V2.
    2. Navigate to the Contacts application.
    3. On the left pane, select the Personal Contacts.
    4. On the top pane, click the Export contacts link.
    5. Choose the VCF format file to be exported.
    6. Download the file to your machine.
    7. Application downloads all your personal contacts in a .VCF format file.

    Import to Baya V3

    1. Log in to the SkyConnect account using Baya V3.
    2. Navigate to the Contacts application.
    3. On the top pane, click the Import button.
    4. Click the Choose File button.
    5. Choose the contacts file which you have downloaded recently from Baya V2.
  • 8. How to migrate Calendar events from Baya V2 to Baya V3?
     

    Migrate Calendar events from Baya V2 to V3

    Export from Baya V2

    1. Log in to your SkyConnect account using Baya V2.
    2. Navigate to the Calendar application
    3. On the left pane, click the down arrow next to the Calendar from which events need to be exported.
    4. Click the Export Calendar option from the list.
    5. Choose the appropriate date range to download events.
    6. Application downloads the events in the .ics format file.

    Import to Baya V3

    1. Log in to your SkyConnect account using Baya V3.
    2. Navigate to the Calendar application.
    3. On the top pane, click the Import button.
    4. Click the Choose File button.
    5. Choose the .ics file which you have downloaded recently from Baya V2.
  • 9. How is the calendar better in Baya V3?
     

    With this release of Baya V3, you get a new calendar server in which the limitations of the earlier calendar server have been resolved.

  • 10. What client should I use for chat? Will I see chat history?
     

    If you have been using the chat application integrated with Baya V2, you will notice that Baya V3 does not have an integrated client. To continue using the chat services of SkyConnect, please download and configure a desktop or mobile chat client mentioned here.

     

  • 11. Users are getting duplicate mail in sent items. How do we solve it?​
     

    To see mail sent using Baya V3 in the Sent Items folder, you will have to enable the Save to Sent Items for the user using the Admin Panel. Also, ensure that the domain level setting for Save to Sent Items is also enabled.

    However to avoid duplicate mail in the desktop clients, you will have to disable the Save to Sent items feature on the desktop clients as given here (ThunderbirdOutlook).

    Please do not change the settings for POP users.

  • 12. How to enable the Save to sent items option for your domain
     

    To see mail sent using Baya V3 in the Sent Items folder, you will have to enable the Save to Sent Items for the user using the Admin Panel.

    To enable the Save to sent items option for your domain,

    1. Log in to the Admin Panel with valid credentials.
    2. On the left pane, click the Domain name
    3. Select the Mail settings
    4. Enable the Save to Sent Items

    To enable the Save to sent items option for a user,

    1. Log in to the Admin Panel with valid credentials.
    2. On the left pane, click Users
    3. On the details pane, select the Mail settings
    4. Enable the Save to Sent Items

    Note:

    However to avoid duplicate mail in the desktop clients, you will have to disable the Save to Sent items feature on the desktop clients as given here (Thunderbird / Outlook).
