Migration from Baya V2 to Baya V3

Access Baya V3

To access Baya V3, simply enter the URL baya{node}.mithiskyconnect.com in your favorite browser.
You can find the URL on the login page of Baya V2 interface or contact your domain admin to know the exact URL.

Login to Baya V3

On the login page, enter your complete email id (for example user@domain.com) and the password. On successful login, you will be taken to the email application and your Inbox will be visible.

The new web client has many exciting features such as a three pane view, email threads, task manager and an easy to use web calendar.

To get an overview of the applications, refer to the short videos on working of the new web client. (Email, Contacts and Calendar).

To start using the Baya V3 applications, you will have to do certain re-configurations as follows:


To see mail sent using Baya V3 in the Sent Items folder, your domain admin will have to enable the Save to Sent Items for your domain and id using the Admin Panel. Contact your domain administrator for the same.

Once the server level setting to save mail sent by you to the Sent Items folder is enabled on the server, you may start getting duplicate sent items in your desktop clients. To stop this, you will have to disable the Save to Sent Items features on the desktop clients as given here (Thunderbird / Outlook).


The personal address book created in Baya V2 will have to be migrated to Baya V3. The instructions to do so are given here.


With this release you also get a new calendar server in which the limitations of the earlier calendar server have been resolved. To use the new calendar server, you will have to reconfigure the desktop and mobile calendar applications to use the new server as given here.

Also the Calendar events in Baya V2 will have to be migrated to Baya V3, the steps for which are given here.


If you have been using the chat application integrated with Baya V2, you will notice that Baya V3 does not have an integrated client. To continue using the chat services of SkyConnect, please download and configure a desktop or mobile chat client mentioned here.

Signature and Vacation Replies

Also the client settings for the signatures and vacation replies will have to be done on Baya V3. For instructions, refer to the videos here.
